divh2Solar Farm Technician II/h2pSolar Farm Technician II performs preventative and corrective maintenance for all scopes of an operating power plant, including civil, mechanical, and electrical inspection and repair./ppRole responsibilities include:/pulliTest, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment/liliEnsure that all tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures/liliComplete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSAs, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct inspection, maintenance, and repairs in a safe manner/liliProactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures/liliPerform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements/liliPerform balance of plant and switchyard work as required/liliMonitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate/liliPerform electrical testing as necessary, including insulation and thermal testing/liliDocument all work and generate reports as necessary/liliUse Microsoft Office for communication, presentation, and documentation/liliUse computer software in support of maintenance and troubleshooting/liliIdentify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment/liliAt times, may assist with BOP activities/liliRespond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions/liliEnsure site access, site HSE, security, deliveries, and inspections are performed by site protocols/liliInterface with any 3rd party contractors working at our facilities/liliAvailable to respond to nontraditional operating hours for operations, maintenance, and emergent issues/liliOperate mobile equipment including mowers, forklift, tractor, excavator, and motor vehicles/liliRepresent the company in a professional manner with contractor and vendor relations, as well as during partnership opportunities within the community/li/ulpJob requirements and experiences include:/pulliHigh School diploma or equivalent required/liliAssociate degree in engineering or related field from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet preferred/liliNABCEP Certification or Electrical License preferred/liliUnrestricted driver license in good standing/liliMinimum 2 years of work experience as a maintenance electrician (commercial or industrial), or minimum 4 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician performing electrical work on operating equipment; or minimum 2 years experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, transmission, or distribution/liliPreference will be given to the candidate with experience in solar OM/liliMust be skilled in at least one of the following: power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance; substation maintenance/liliMust be competent in power plant safety protocols/liliMust be competent in electrical safety/liliMust be competent in understanding the NEC/liliKnowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools/liliKnowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures/liliAbility to work within tight deadlines, and evolving schedules/liliAbility and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned, including supporting other sites/liliAbility to work independently and as part of a team/liliRoutine operation of a computer/tablet and other office productivity machineries, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer/liliFrequent oral and written communications/liliFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required/liliComplete all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe/liliFirst aid/CPR/AED/liliOSHA Certified/liliShift work/liliMust be trainable/liliMust be adaptive to new technologies and methods/liliMust take ownership of responsibilities and look beyond the work task, with regards to discovering new opportunities for corrective work/liliMust communicate verbally and orally at an extremely high level/liliAbility to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to and over 50 lbs./liliAbility to work in extreme weather conditions/liliAbility to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day/li/ulpBenefits offered include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
